We currently have an opening for a Coordinator in our New Business Development (NBD) group. NBD is a central function that regularly reports to a subset of the Executive Committee on new growth platforms for the company. NBD’s primary objective is to research and to recommend new program launches and services to allow the company to expand into new and existing markets.

New Business Development Coordinator

New Business Development Coordinator plays a critical role in the firm and occupies positions in almost every area of the organization. Coordinators support their teams and perform department specific duties, such as communication with external clients, database management, editing, and meeting planning. Coordinators have the opportunity to develop basic business skills and acquire a broad understanding of the firm.

Responsibilities Include:
• Partner with NBD’s Senior Director and maintain his calendar, confidential documents, finances, and manage travel and expenses
• Work with management to maintain work plans, coordinate checkpoint meetings, and provide appropriate reminders and follow-ups
• Maintain databases of program statistics and perform simple spreadsheet analysis
• Maintain team calendar which includes all team meetings, trips and calls
• Maintain research library; track that appropriate publications are received and routed
• Assist in miscellaneous research, administrative and clerical duties: reserving conference rooms, submitting check request forms, managing files, ordering supplies, coordinate the photocopying of memos, evaluation forms, order forms and any other materials and assist with locating "hard-to-find" articles/sources
• Work with print managers to have research materials bound and printed
• Partner with Publications Department: Keep abreast of upcoming or newly released items

Ideal Candidate would possess:
• Bachelors degree with one to two years of professional work experience, preferably administrative experience • Superior organization and prioritization skills
• Ability to perform under deadline pressure
• Persistence, resourcefulness, drive and ability to work proactively
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Desire to contribute meaningfully to the team
• Excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility to accommodate different situations and temperaments
• Strong upward management skills
